VARTA Storage is expanding again, and its products are now now available on five continents and in six countries. Effective immediately, households from Perth to Brisbane in Australia are the latest customers who can now purchase VARTA’s energy storage systems, which are “Made in Germany.”
The company’s small, compact wall-mounted storage system is available in two performance classes: pulse 3 with 3.3 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and pulse 6 with 6.5 kWh.
“The storage systems are compact and handy and of high quality. Perfect for anyone who not only wants to generate energy themselves, but also wants to store it and consume it whenever they need it,” said Gordon Clements, General Manager Residential at VARTA Storage.
VARTA pulse is ready to use in just 30 minutes, thanks to the plug & play design that can be combined with all sources of green energy. With dimensions of 60 x 69 x 18.5 cm, it fits into even the smallest of spaces. VARTA pulse 3 weighs just 45 kg, and the larger VARTA pulse 6 tips the scales at 65 kg.
Gordon Clements describes the market launch as a major opportunity for the company: “The Australian market offers immense potential and holds great growth opportunities for us.” 2017 was a record year for PV in Australia. Systems with a total performance of 1,250 MW were installed, taking the overall total installed on the continent to roughly 7,000 MW. Accordingly, the potential for battery storage systems is immense.
Safety, quality, and reliability are top priorities for VARTA Storage. The company makes significant investments in research and development to stay one step ahead in battery development. VARTA storage devices feature a multi-stage safety concept, which makes them particularly reliable. Various safety mechanisms are integrated into the cell, the cell pack, the battery module and the overall system.
More than 130 years of battery expertise have gone into product development for the energy storage system.
